Prime Minister Narendra Modi has reached Italy to participate in the ‘Outreach Session’ of the G-7 Summit. The G-7 Summit is being held in Apulia, Italy. Prime Minister Modi arrived at Apulia airport late on Thursday night. Ambassador of India in Italy and other officials reached there to welcome him. This is PM Narendra Modi’s first foreign trip after assuming the office of Prime Minister for the third consecutive time in India.
On Friday, Prime Minister Modi will hold bilateral talks with global leaders on various broad issues. External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said in a video message from the airport, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has reached Italy’s Brindisi airport to be a part of the G7 summit. He further said that today (Friday) is going to be a very busy day for the Prime Minister. There are back-to-back bilateral meetings with several global leaders. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is also scheduled to address the ‘Outreach Session’ of the G7 Summit.
On June 14, Prime Minister Modi will participate in outreach sessions focused on AI, energy, Africa and the Mediterranean. Pope Francis will also attend this session. Prime Minister Modi and Pope Francis are also expected to hold bilateral talks.
Prime Minister Modi posted on social media platform X about his arrival in Italy to attend the G-7 summit and said, “I look forward to engaging in productive dialogue with global leaders.” We want to encourage international cooperation and work together to solve various issues.
