Oct 12 – Russian President Vladimir Putin has clarified his position on the ongoing turmoil in Israel and Palestine following Hamas attacks. He has attributed the crisis in the Middle East to the United States, asserting, “I believe that many would concur with me that this is a stark illustration of the shortcomings in US Middle East policies. They attempted to monopolize the peace settlement but regrettably paid insufficient attention to the search for mutually acceptable compromises,” as reported by RT.
Putin has also voiced his concerns about Washington’s pressure on both sides, suggesting it’s an endeavor to impose “unilateral solutions” without taking into account the fundamental interests of the Palestinian people, including the establishment of an independent Palestinian nation-state, as delineated in UN Security Council resolutions.
Previously, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman also commented on the Israel-Palestine conflict, affirming the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s support for the Palestinian people. He emphasized Saudi Arabia’s efforts to restore peace and stability in the region, reiterating their opposition to the attacks and calling for de-escalation.
Amid these developments, the first shipment of American aircraft carrying ammunition has arrived in Israel to assist the nation in its ongoing conflict with Gaza’s ruling faction, Hamas, and militants in Lebanon, as confirmed by Israel’s military.
