September 1 – Talks were held in Beijing between British Foreign Minister James Cleverley and Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi. In this dialogue, special emphasis was placed on strengthening and promoting exchanges between Britain and China in various fields. He said that as long as we respect each other, treat each other equally, cooperate in furthering each other’s development, move forward by being fair to each other, with mutual consent and trust. As long as we move forward together, we will be successful in removing the Chinese-British-related obstacles and will also be able to open the way to wider possibilities.
Wang Yi said that China always views Britain as a leading country. attaches great importance to Britain’s position and the unique role it plays. At the same time, China has always been completely neutral and dedicated to improving China-UK relations.
Wang Yi said that China has always believed that China-UK cooperation has a global impact. That’s why we should always cooperate with each other to face every challenge firmly and come forward together to maintain peace and stability in the world.
British Foreign Minister James Cleverley expressed his reaction to all these things and said that China has always been moving towards doing such work which can bring millions of people out of poverty and China has also been successful in doing so. Through its efforts, China has brought millions of people out of poverty, due to which China has achieved the distinction of becoming a nationally prosperous country. China has also cooperated with many countries and for global economic development. All these are his commendable achievements.
