Karnataka’s Deputy Chief Minister and Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) President, D.K. Shivakumar, has expressed skepticism regarding the reliability of exit poll predictions. Speaking to reporters, Shivakumar highlighted that exit polls often fail to capture the ground realities due to their reliance on limited sample sizes. Referring to the Karnataka Assembly elections, he emphasized how Congress defied the exit poll predictions, securing 136 seats when most surveys projected much fewer.
He asserted that Congress is poised to achieve success in upcoming state elections, including Rajasthan, and dismissed the notion of a hung assembly in these states. Shivakumar credited Congress’ grassroots efforts and guarantee schemes for building trust among the electorate, especially women and marginalized communities.
The Deputy CM remains confident that the public’s support for Congress’ initiatives will translate into positive electoral outcomes, contrary to the exit poll projections.
