In a recent interview, Rawal revealed that the controversy surrounding his exit had been resolved and there was no longer any misunderstanding with the production team.
Rawal explained that his initial decision to step away from the project was not due to any creative disagreements with director Priyadarshan or co-stars Akshay Kumar and Suniel Shetty, but rather due to concerns about the script and scheduling. However, after discussions with the producers and some creative fine-tuning, he felt reassured and decided to rejoin the film. He emphasized the importance of respecting a franchise that is so close to people’s hearts, stating, “When people have loved something so much, you have to be extra careful… You can’t take things for granted.”
Reports had emerged earlier that a legal notice demanding ₹25 crore had been sent to Rawal by Akshay Kumar’s production company after his exit. In response, Rawal returned his signing amount of ₹11 lakh along with 15% interest to settle the matter amicably. This gesture, along with open communication between the parties involved, helped clear the air and pave the way for his return.
