Ajay Devgn’s Dhamaal 4 is off to a promising start at the box office, with early estimates indicating a significant jump in collections on its second day. The film is now on track to emerge as a box office success if the momentum continues through the coming week.
According to early trade estimates, Dhamaal 4 witnessed a sharp rise in footfalls on Saturday, with evening shows performing 65–70 per cent better than Friday. While the night shows are expected to slightly reduce the overall growth percentage, the film is still likely to earn around Rs. 22 crore nett on Day 2. Even a collection of Rs. 21 crore would represent an impressive 55–60 per cent increase over its opening-day earnings.
For comparison, Welcome to the Jungle recorded around 35 per cent growth on its first Saturday, while Bhooth Bangla saw an increase of approximately 55 per cent.
With an estimated two-day total of nearly Rs. 36 crore nett, the comedy entertainer is expected to witness another boost on Sunday, driven by family audiences. If the film follows a trend similar to Welcome to the Jungle, which registered around 20 per cent growth on Sunday, its opening weekend collection could comfortably cross the Rs. 60 crore nett mark.
Trade experts believe the film’s strong weekend performance has placed it in a favourable position. However, its long-term success will depend on how well it holds during the weekdays.
Unlike some recent releases that experienced a sharp decline after the opening weekend, Dhamaal 4 enjoys the advantage of a relatively clear three-week run before the release of Spider-Man: Brand New Day later this month. If the film maintains steady collections through the weekdays, it is expected to strengthen its position as a successful box office performer.
