Ranchi, July 30 (UITV) – A train accident took place in Chakradharpur, Jharkhand, in which two people died and many others were injured. Relief and rescue work is being done on the spot. Passengers are being transported to their destination with the help of special train. South Eastern Railway CPRO Om Prakash said that Howrah-Mumbai Mail (12810) met with an accident at 3:43 am today. Relief and rescue work was started immediately. He said that 80 percent of the passengers have been taken to Chakradharpur station by bus. At the same time, special train has been arranged to take the remaining 20 percent passengers to Chakradharpur.
CPRO Om Prakash said that 2 passengers died in this tragic train accident. At the same time, one passenger has fractured bones and many others are injured. All the passengers are being transported to their destination by special train. The passengers were sent to Chakradharpur by special train at 10:30 am.
Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren directed the officials to make proper arrangements for the treatment of the injured on this tragic train accident. He posted on the social media platform that all possible help should be provided to all the people injured in the train accident. In this post, he also tagged the DC of Singhbhum and Saraikela.
Chief Minister Hemant Soren has given instructions to give immediate information about all the works. In his reply to this, the DC said that this train accident took place near Poto Beda village under Kharsawan block. Relief-rescue work and helpline number have been issued by the District Administration Saraikela Kharsawan. The District Administration East Singhbhum and Saraikela Kharsawan District Administration are in constant touch regarding providing all necessary assistance.
