During this, ED Joint Director Kapil Raj was present at Kejriwal’s residence.
The ED team arrested Chief Minister Kejriwal and brought him to his office at Abdul Kalam Road on APJ. The ED arrested Kejriwal under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act, 2002 (PMLA) in a money laundering case.
Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal was brought to the Financial Investigation Agency office at 11 pm on Thursday by the ED team from his residence. A large number of policemen have been deployed around the agency’s office and barricades have been erected around it. Prohibitory orders have also been imposed in the entire area.
According to the information received from sources, Kejriwal will stay in ED lockup tonight. Investigators can question Kejriwal further. He will be produced in court after medical examination.
According to sources, the legal team of ED is also preparing a remand petition to be presented in the court to get Kejriwal’s custody.
