Lucknow, October 20: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has announced that a total of 1.25 crore families in the state will get land ownership rights under the PM Swamvitva Yojana by December 2023.
He also criticized the previous state government, which was in power before 2017, for neglecting the rights of Scheduled Caste people.
In an official statement, the Chief Minister stressed the importance of measuring economic progress not just by the prosperity of the privileged few but by the advancement of the most deprived.
He said, “Before 2017, SC/ST people had to face identity crisis. Due to the combined efforts of the double engine government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, they no longer have to grapple with this problem. The government is adopting this approach. Is dedicated to making it come true.” The entire country exemplifies the essence of a harmonious society, One India, Shrestha Bharat as envisioned by Baba Saheb Bhimrao Ambedkar.”
Further, Chief Minister Yogi said, “In cases where persons belonging to SC/ST are residing on land which does not fall in the reserved category, the government will step in to give them lease of that land to build houses.” Will pick it up.” For those living on reserved category land, we will ensure suitable arrangements for their rehabilitation, including provision of additional land.”
He also highlighted that 75 lakh families in the state have already been provided possession of their lands, and by December 2023, 1.25 crore families will receive ownership of the land leased under the PM Swamitva Yojana. .
