Lucknow, October 19: The Union Home Ministry has officially approved Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust under the Foreign Contribution Regulation Act (FCRA). As confirmed by ministry officials, this significant development enables the Trust to receive monetary contributions from foreign sources for the construction of the Ram temple in Ayodhya.
Announcing the development on social media, Trust General Secretary Champat Rai said, “Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra has been approved by the FCRA (Foreign Contribution Regulation Act) department of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India.” “To receive voluntary contributions under the Foreign Contribution Regulation Act, 2010.”
The Trust has outlined the process for these contributions, specifying that they can be sent to a dedicated bank account located at the 11 Parliament Street branch of the State Bank of India in New Delhi. The FCRA section of the Ministry of Home Affairs has officially registered the Trust, Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra, for the purpose of accepting voluntary contributions from foreign sources. The Trust has emphasized that these contributions should be sent to the specified bank account and should not be accepted in any other branch or account held by the Trust.
The approval comes in anticipation of the consecration ceremony of the Ram temple, which is expected to take place in January next year.
