Srinagar, November 23: Ten cricketers from Jammu and Kashmir have been shortlisted for the upcoming IPL auction to be held in Dubai on December 19. Franchises have expressed interest in these players, increasing their chances of securing a place in the IPL. Next session.
Jammu and Kashmir’s shortlisted players are Mujtaba Yousuf, Rasikh Salam, Parvez Rasool, Qamran Iqbal, Fazil Rashid, Henan Malik, Abid Mushtaq, Nasir Lone, Auqib Nabi and Vivarant Sharma.
Mujtaba Yousuf, who has previously worked as a net bowler with Kolkata Knight Riders and Royal Challengers Bangalore, has a good chance of getting a permanent place in one of the teams.
Rasikh Salaam, who trained at the Mumbai Indians Academy before facing a ban due to age manipulation, is also among the shortlisted players.
Parvez Rasool, who was not sold in the last three auctions, has once again put his name up for auction with a base price of Rs 50 lakh.
Abid Mushtaq, Auqib Nabi and Nasir Lone have been called for trials by various franchises, reflecting the growing recognition of Jammu and Kashmir’s cricket talent.
