This sentiment gave rise to the trending hashtag #BoycottIndoPakMatch.

Additionally, there have been demands for officials of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) to be held accountable, as well as the exclusion of the artists from the pre-match celebrations on 14 October.
