Aug 26 – Bray Wyatt, a former WWE world champion whose real name was Windham Rotunda, died abruptly on Thursday (Aug. 24) at the age of 36, according to WWE veteran Triple H.
According to rumours, Wyatt has been suffering with health concerns for much of this year but was preparing a return to professional wrestling. On Thursday, however, he died of a purported heart attack.
Wyatt earned a reputation for himself in WWE with his creepy storytelling, innovative promos, and memorable feuds with other WWE Superstars. During his career in the WWE, he held several championships, including the WWE Championship.
“Just received a call from WWE Hall of Famer Mike Rotunda who informed us of the tragic news that our WWE family member for life Windham Rotunda — also known as Bray Wyatt — unexpectedly passed earlier today,” Triple H, WWE’s Chief Content Officer, stated. Our prayers are with his family at this time, and we ask that everyone respect their privacy.”
