Gunmen who forcibly entered Pakistan’s Gwadar port premises opened fire. It is being told that Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) terrorists entered the Gwadar Port Authority complex armed with bombs and heavy ammunition in an attempt to take over the Gwadar port premises. As soon as the attackers entered the compound, they started firing and the sounds of bomb blasts were also heard around. Troops of the police and security forces immediately reached the spot and started firing.
Makran Commissioner Saeed Ahmed Umrani said that in the southwestern province of Balochistan, terrorists attacked the office premises of various government departments, intelligence agencies and paramilitary forces. -Intercepted at least seven attackers and foiled their attacks.
He said seven attackers have been killed by security forces and the injured are being assessed.
Sources have confirmed that a sweep and search operation has been launched. There are no reports of any casualties in the attack yet.
The Majeed Brigade of the banned Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) has claimed responsibility for this terrorist attack.
The latest attack by the BLA has come amid an increase in terrorist activities in Pakistan, particularly in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) and Balochistan provinces. Pakistani security forces are conducting intelligence-based operations (IBOs) targeting the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) to eradicate the footprints of terrorists, terrorist groups and their allied factions, including the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA).
BLA’s Majid Brigade is actively attacking Pakistani security forces.
TTP and BLA formed an alliance, which is increasing the security level challenges for Pakistan.
Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said on this terrorist attack that the attacks being carried out across the border will not be tolerated and will be answered with full force.
The month of February 2024 has been the deadliest for Pakistan. Because at least 97 terrorist attacks have occurred in this month. At least 87 people were killed and 118 injured in these attacks.
