Sana’a, November 23: Yemen’s Houthi rebels have attacked Israel with long-range missiles. Yemen’s Houthi rebels said about this attack that they have fired long-range missiles towards Israel as part of a new operation. This missile attack was done to avenge the Israeli attacks. Because the Palestinian area of the Gaza Strip has been attacked by Israel. To avenge this, Yemen’s Houthi rebels have carried out this missile attack.
In a statement broadcast by Houthi-run al-Masirah TV, militia spokesman Yehya Sariya said the missiles targeted various military positions of the Israeli unit in Eilat.
He said that the Israeli attack which is being carried out against the Palestinian people in Gaza and the West Bank should be stopped. If this aggression is not stopped then we will continue this attack and more military operations will be conducted from our side in the coming times.
According to the report of Xinhua news agency, the Israel-Hamas conflict started on October 7. Since then, Yemeni Houthi rebels claimed this was the ninth cross-border missile attack.
Last month, the US announced that several missiles were fired from Yemen towards Israel in the northern Red Sea, and these missiles were intercepted by a US Navy ship.
Yemeni Houthi rebels announced the hijacking of an Israeli plane on Sunday. They said they had hijacked an Israeli ship near the Bab-el-Mandeb Strait in the Red Sea and taken it to the port city of Hodeidah.
Houthis also released a video footage related to this on Monday. In which it was shown that the ship was being hijacked using a military helicopter and boats.
The Yemeni civil war began in late 2014. After which the Houthis took control of the capital Sanaa and the Red Sea port city of Hodeidah. Apart from this, Houthis have also kept most of northern Yemen under their control.
